C4L selects Zayo Group for Multi-Site Fibre Backbone
Cloud, colocation, communication and connectivity specialist C4L has partnered with global bandwidth infrastructure provider Zayo Group to deploy a network of fibre links that diversely interconnects twenty-seven C4L data centre locations between London Docklands and
Slough.
This latest project builds upon an earlier successful deployment by Zayo which provided dark fibre links between fifteen C4L locations in London Docklands data centres. The new networks provide underlying dark fibre infrastructure for C4L’s recently announced coreTX high performance MPLS network. The coreTX network connects over fifty-five data centres across the UK including the recently opened Infinity SDC Slough.
“Extending our network infrastructure and its capabilities is part of our vision to continue breaking down the barriers faced by the UK’s technology community,” said Matt Hawkins, chairman of C4L. “We selected Zayo as a partner as it offered the best existing coverage and real in-depth expertise in fibre infrastructure. This meant we could be sure of a rapid, high quality fibre roll-out and excellent ongoing operations.”
Alastair Kane, European vice-president at Zayo, added “Data centre coverage is vital and partnering with C4L will strengthen Zayo’s footprint in the UK. We appreciate C4L’s continued confidence in our work”.
