Gateshead College supports growth with Agresso Finance from UNIT4
FE template used to implement Agresso Finance “quickly and painlessly”
Bristol, UK, 28 May, 2014. UNIT4, the global leader in software that supports business change, today announced that Gateshead College in the UK has selected UNIT4 Agresso Finance, part of the UNIT4 Campus solution, to underpin financial operations at the college. Agresso Finance will support the college’s ambitious plans for development and growth.
Gateshead College has invested more than £75 million in six campuses across the North East region, each complete with industry standard equipment and dedicated trade facilities. UNIT4 Agresso will provide college staff across these campuses, via self-service, with the financial tools they need to optimise services delivered to its student community.
Williams Woodward, UNIT4’s strategic implementation partner for Further Education, will implement the solution using the UNIT4 FE template.
“The UNIT4 FE template is based upon good practice in the further education sector,” said David Keetley, Finance Manager at Gateshead College. “Out of the box it will provide us with processes for the modern further education institution. Furthermore by using the template implementation approach, the college will be able to deploy a functionally rich finance solution quickly and painlessly; this represents fantastic value for money to the college.”
It is expected that UNIT4 Agresso Finance will help the college reduce administration costs, improve services delivered to staff and afford better visibility across educational facilities and commercial outlets that include two restaurants, a salon, a spa and a barbershop.
The inherent flexibility of Agresso means that users will be able to configure the application themselves; this keeps the cost of ownership low and will help the college react faster to change.
“We are delighted to be working with Gateshead College,” said Anwen Robinson, Managing Director of UNIT4 Business Software Ltd. “UNIT4 Agresso Finance can be implemented quickly and cost effectively so that the college has the visibility it needs to optimally manage its finances and leverage its investment for the future.”
Based in the North East of England, the College offers post-16 vocational education and A Levels, apprenticeships, part-time adult courses and higher education, along with workforce development and training for the unemployed to over 10,000 people every year.
