Snom D715 and D725 IP Phones Certified for Skype for Business
Snom endpoints with the latest Snom UC firmware have qualified as being fully compatible with Microsoft Unified Communications Solutions
BERLIN and Manchester, UK (May 6th, 2015) – Snom Technology, a leading developer of IP desktop and mobile DECT business phones, today announced that its D715 and D725 IP desktop phones, which use the latest Snom UC edition firmware, have achieved certification for Skype for Business – the highest level of endpoint qualification, demonstrating their full compatibility with Microsoft’s unified communications solutions.
The Snom D715 and D725 phones with Snom UC edition firmware (version 220.127.116.11) successfully passed Microsoft’s rigorous testing. Each device earned both “Skype for Business Certified” and “Qualified for Microsoft Lync” status in Microsoft’s interoperability testing programs for third-party endpoint partners.
“Snom has a long history of leadership with Microsoft Lync interoperability, and now with Skype for Business,” said John Bennett Managing Director at Snom UK. “We are dedicated to building phones with the widest compatibility with leading unified communications as well as IP PBX providers, bringing customers the best-of-class experience for enterprise-level communications.”
The Snom D715 and D725 phones support enhanced PC pairing via Ethernet “Better Together” unified communications. Features on Snom’s standard Lync-qualified phones include click-to-dial, call transfer and server side conferencing.
“The capabilities within the Snom UC firmware allow a deeper level of feature integration and device management capabilities for the Snom D715 and D725 phones, which are compatible with Skype for Business and Microsoft Lync 2013,” continued Bennett.
The D715 and D725 IP desktop phones are the latest models of Snom’s 7xx series, its flagship line of desktop phones. The endpoints feature an upgraded Broadcom chipset, full HD voice support and a Gigabit Ethernet switch, which provide the highest level of performance, speed and audio call quality to support current and future voice-driven IP communications.
The D725 has 18 multicolor function keys, and it is ideal for call-intensive business environments. The D715, with five programmable function keys, is an entry-level phone for everyday office workers.
Designed and developed by German engineers, the Snom D715 and D725 phones give business users the highest ROI in the market with rich features, excellent flexibility and a two-year warranty, which is twice the industry average.
The Chula Vista Elementary School District is deploying Snom UC edition phones with Microsoft Lync for its 45 schools and over 29,000 students and faculty. They are using the Snom D715, largely because of its highly customizable settings and support for USB and Gigabit Ethernet. Snom D715 phones give “the best bang for the buck,” said Dennis Kao, senior systems analyst at Chula Vista.
