Bristol, UK, May 2014. UNIT4 Business Software Ltd, the global leader in software that supports business change, today announced that as part of its commitment to international best practice standards for IT service management, that it has been awarded ISO/IEC 20000 certification.
The standard relates to the company’s IT support services in the UK for its business technology solutions including UNIT4 Agresso, UNIT4 Coda and UNIT4 Business Collaborator. It will give UNIT4’s customers further peace-of-mind that they can expect robust, consistent and timely support services based upon the rigorous and mandatory standards expected of ISO/IEC 20000.
ISO/IEC 20000 certification requires monitoring of support services against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and encourages constant improvement, and, where possible, support issues to be identified before they become a problem for the customer.
UNIT4 already uses ITIL, the most widely accepted process framework for IT service management, and ISO/IEC 20000 certification, which is aligned to ITIL processes, was the next logical step for the company.
“UNIT4 has enjoyed unprecedented success winning new contracts over the last three years,” said Anwen Robinson, Managing Director of UNIT4 Business Software Ltd. “With this comes the responsibility to deliver reliable services to the customers that have shown faith in us. ISO/IEC 20000 accreditation is an important step in guaranteeing this ongoing reliability to both them and the prospects that are considering UNIT4’s solutions.”
This latest certification is part of UNIT4’s drive for relevant and beneficial quality standards which already include ISO 9001 / TickItPlus – Quality Management, ISO27001 – Information Security, ISO 22301 – Business Continuity and ISO14001 – Environment Management.
